Often, yes. Much of central Phoenix sits inside Sky Harbor’s Class B airspace, and other parts of the Valley are near Deer Valley, Scottsdale, Chandler, Falcon Field, Glendale and Goodyear airports or Luke Air Force Base. As an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, I check every address before booking and request FAA (LAANC) authorization when the location needs it. If a spot can’t be flown legally, I’ll tell you before you book. I also plan flight paths that follow FAA rules on flying over people and moving vehicles.
